We found a Tarantula Hawk Wasp!!!

Check out this absolutely HUGE wasp that Brennon had crawling up his leg in the garage!  It is called a Tarantula Hawk Wasp....  It took forever to kill it too.  Anyway we are certainly glad it did not sting him!

We have so much fun getting together and playing cards!  Mark is getting so big and had so much fun playing with the kids!

Zoo Day with the Warners!!

Zoo day was so much fun!   We went on Saturday September 12th, 2009.  Dad was golfing with August,Adam and his dad.  We missed him!  Jordan was so funny.  He had to make sure we followed the map and he also had to make sure that we did not miss out on seeing anything. 

We saw so many new babies at the zoo too!  We saw the baby elephant, the baby giraffe, the baby muskrats, the tiger cubs, and cheetah cubs.

See the funny pic of the bear?  This bear was just sitting here swing his legs like he was chill-in with the beautiful weather. There is a funny pic of a giraffe licking a pole too!! This was so funny, he would stop if we would yell to him.  He would look at us for a sec, get bored and start licking it again.  It must have been pure pleasure!~

This was a super time of year to visit the zoo!! We will be back this same time next year!!

Here are our bird visitors.  On Saturday morning we woke to find hundreds of these birds in the yards around us chasing the squirrels and squawking like coo coos.  They would surround the squirrels in herds of about 30!!  It was amazing to watch. What a sight.

By the looks of it, they had chased all of the squirrels down from the mountain because we had hundreds of them in all of the yards too!  It was super funny....

 

We have heard them squawking at least three other times.  This last weekend, while my dad was staying with us, we had them in the back yard!  It was sure fun to watch them.  They are crazy birds for sure.
